Back to the Grind

Well baby girls, this week we ALL went back to school.  Boo!  We were very tired.  As a reward for getting through the week, we had pizza and game night on Friday night.  It was so much fun.

On Saturday we decided to go to the movies.  We saw the new Annie.  I think you enjoyed it.  I had a good time with you girls.

You sang the whole ride home.  :)

I love you girls so much!  I can't even remember what my life was like before you came into my life.  You have been such a blessing.  I love watching you grow.  I keep praying that God will touch your hearts and lives in a BIG way!  I pray that you will grow to love Him with all of your heart!

I love the memories that we are making!  BTW...58 days until our next trip to Disney!  Woo-hoo!

I love you with all my heart baby girls!!

2013 & 2014 Came and Went...

Dear Mia & Lyla-Boo,
My hope for journaling through 2013 & 2014 went out the window.  We just got so busy!  You girls have been growing so much!
We had a busy year in 2013 & 2014.  Mia, you are currently in Kindergarten at Memorial Middle School.  Mrs. Sherwin is your teacher.  We love her.  Lyla, you are currently in Pre-K at Oak Brook Day School.  Ms. Danielle is your teacher (Mia, you had her last year) and we love her too!

We had a great trip to Disney this past summer.  Actually, at this point you've been to Disney about 5 times.  :)  We're planning a small trip in March when we go to see Poppy and then again in June for Lyla-Boo's 5th birthday (we were there for Mia's 5th birthday this past summer).

We also spent some time at the beach with family and friends this past summer.  We ended up being gone for a month.  It was a lot of fun!
You girls have been busy the past two years taking Ballet.  This semester, we are going to try something different and you'll be doing Gymnastics.

This past Christmas, you met your great-grandparents, Bobby & Rachel.

You girls keep me on my toes constantly and you keep me laughing all the time.  I love life with you!  I can't remember what my life was like before you girls!  I love you girls to the moon and back!  I pray that you never forget that!  You are my precious gift from Jesus!  As Lyla likes to whisper in my ear, "I'm so glad that Jesus gave you to me!"  I'll try to do better this year journaling our life together.

With all my love,
Mommy

Welcome to 2013!

 Dear Mia & Lyla-Boo,

Wow!  I can't believe how fast December went!  It was a busy, but fun month.  Our elf, Eugene was up to new tricks every night!

Monica & I took you to Santa's Village too.  You got to see Santa and get Reindeer noses!

You girls always love coming to Mommy's school.  You got to participate in two Christmas parties at Mommy's school this year.

Aunt Judi and I took you to see Santa and the lights at the Gaylord Texan too.

December 21st is a big day for our family.  It's our "Gotcha Day!"  It's the day that we celebrate us becoming a forever family.  To celebrate our one year anniversary, we had some very special friends over and of course we had cake!!!  Monica and her parents came.  Miss Kristyl, Robyn (& family), Carol & Kacey, CG (& family) and the Spiars' girls all came to help us celebrate!

Our cake after Mia got to it!!

Look!  There's Eugene!!

On Christmas Eve, we went to church and then to Macaroni Grill for the traditional Romagnolo Italian dinner for Christmas Eve.  Mia, this was your first time to sit through "big" church.  You did so well!  I was so proud of you!

After church & dinner, we came home and made birthday cupcakes for Jesus!  We then laid out cookies and milk for Santa and went to bed to see what Christmas morning would bring.  Santa didn't let us down!!  For breakfast, we had homemade cinnamon rolls and sausage-cheese biscuits.  Yummy!!  After opening presents and breakfast, we headed to Tyler to spend Christmas day with Aunt Roxie, Uncle Scott, Parker and Bella.

My genius babies!!!
December was a great month!  We also saw a few firsts for Lyla-Boo!  Lyla is now in big girl panties (thanks for making my goal to be potty trained before Christmas-you made it by one week!) and you are sleeping in a big girl bed!

I love you precious girls! I pray that you never doubt that!  I pray that you feel just how much Jesus loves you girls too and how precious you are to Him!  Thank you for coming into my life!  You have made me better!  You bring me so much joy!  I love you forever and always!!

Many Hugs and Kisses,

Mommy
